Brown Bag Lunch Event

September 8 @ 12:00 pm

Join the Marshall County Historical Society on Friday, September 8th, from Noon – 1:00 p.m. for a Brown Bag lunch event featuring local historian and popular presenter Jeff Kenney. The topic is Culver’s Chautauqua Movement.

In the years before television and even radio, the numerous Chautauquas that sprouted up across the U.S. might be described as Christian-oriented “edutainment,” a mixture of preaching and teaching with a variety of other content, much of it non-religious – everything from science demonstrations and historical lectures to theater and opera. Come and take a trip to the late 1800s while you munch your lunch.

Bring your lunch and join us for this informative event. The Museum is located at 123 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, IN. For more information, please call 574-936-2306.
