Our Goal
Marshall County is an independent, not-for-profit governmental authority created to emphasize and develop economic vitality and long term livability by enhancing the growth of the tourist and hospitality industry.
Our Purpose
Visit Marshall County is a not-for-profit organization serving to uncover, promote and market Marshall County’s tourism assets and events via advertising, marketing and community outreach. Through celebration of our unique small town atmosphere, our goal is to maximize economic impact while providing the best quality visitor experience possible.
What We Do
We work to market and promote our communities and overall county to bring visitors in boosting the impact that tourism has on the overall economy within the county. We support our local hospitality and tourism industry across the county while also providing help to meeting planners and even organizers. We over insight to local resources including:
- Speakers
- Food and beverage
- Convention facilities
- Lodging and hotels
- Local attractions
- Events
We find Marshall County to be a great place to visit, live, work, and play and we hope that you do too!
Visit Marshall County is funded by the 5% County Innkeeper’s Tax (CIT). CIT is a county tax on the rental of rooms and accommodations for periods of less than 30 days. CITis in addition to state sales tax and is paid by visitor’s staying in Hotels, Inns, Bed & Breakfasts and AirB&Bs.
