Top 5 Exciting Activities Taking Place This Week

Summer seems to be flying by, but we still have exciting events taking place here in Marshall County. So, spend these last couple weeks of summer with the ones you love most, and make this summer one to remember!

This weekend Culver Lake Fest will be holding their 34th Annual Lake Fest. Tons of events will be taking place that include fireworks, a parade, bass fishing tournament, 5-mile run, classic car show, craft and commercial booths, fireman’s water ball contest, corn hole contest, and plenty more! Lake Fest is one of my favorite summer events to attend. Their fireworks show is awesome! I also recommend stopping by their food booths. It’s a perfect event to take your friends and family too, so please stop by Culver Lake Fest this weekend through July 15th, 16th, and 17th. This event will be taking place at Lake Maxinkuckee Culver Beach.

The Marshall County 4-H Fair starts this Sunday, July 16th, and goes through July 22nd.  The fair will be taking place at the Argos Fairgrounds. Lots of entertainment will be going on that includes animal exhibits, art projects, and much more! If you’re hungry don’t forget to stop by one their food booths and try a walking taco, or you could stop by their famous ice cream stand that serves some of the best ice cream out there. You could also take a trip over to the carnival rides. The Marshall County 4-H will be taking place at the Argos County Fairgrounds.

Want to enjoy a Saturday night listening to music and enjoying some great food? Then stop by downtown Plymouth this coming Saturday at 6:00 PM, while Discover Plymouth Dine Around is taking place. Good food from local restaurants will be served. Make sure to buy your tickets before Wednesday so you’re able to attend. This event will be ending at 10:00 PM and taking place in downtown Plymouth on Michigan Street.

Another exciting event taking place this weekend in Marshall County is the 4th annual 2017 LMEC Poker Run. Bring your canoe and kayak and have splendid time! Check our Facebook page for the registration form. Make sure to bring $10 to the lighthouse by 5:30 on July 14th. Paddlers leave exactly at 6:00, and they collect 5 cards from 5 piers along the West Shore of Lake Maxinkuckee, and then return. The LMEC Poker Run will be located at Lake Maxinkuckee Culver Beach.
